HMM represents hundreds of models locally that acquire tearsheets from our Northern California clients. Our model's images are regularly seen in trade and national magazines, Internet ads, billboards, as well as national campaigns, catalogs and commercials. Joey Giorgianni, Age: 20

I began my modeling adventure exactly two years ago. It was then that Traci Halvorson introduced me to the world of modeling with my first test shoot to begin the never ending building of my portfolio. The introduction to that world promptly continued that summer with my first runway casting, which to my surprise, I ended up getting booked. Considering that I tripped on the carpet while walking for the casting director!! As summer turned to fall many other firsts came my way. I worked for Halvorson Model Management doing everything from runway shows, TV spots on morning shows, and photo shoots for clients like Cisco Systems and Nokia.

It wasn't long before I received the greatest gift modeling could give me….world wide travel experience. Just nine months after first walking through the HMM doors, I was contracted and flew to model in Seoul, Korea. The greatest part of the whole thing wasn't the photo shoots at all, it was the people I met and the interaction I had with the culture. Something my University has yet to teach me!!

I met the most interesting people in the city and became great friends with my roommates. I still keep in touch with my Australian roommate Leigh from Perth. My other roommate is in a band that would be the equivalent of N'SYNC. The day after I got back from Korea, I was contracted and flown to Tokyo, Japan.

I had very similar experiences to that of Korea. It was there that I learned firsthand how different the Korean and Japanese cultures are. The work in both countries was very similar including catalogs and image shots. Currently, I'm modeling in Milan, the fashion capital of the world. I signed with MR Model Mgmt. They are great and I'm staying through the summer for the shows! The greatest thing Milan has given me is learning how to speak Italian. Here in Milan I have met with bookers from Istanbul, Turkey and Athens, Greece. I plan on traveling to those exotic countries after I acquire tearsheets and make money in Milan.
